A tiny little spoon. Hand carved in African blackwood. This wood can be either jet black or dark brown with a purplish hue. this one’s the latter. with just a little bit of yellow sapwood at the end of the handle.
African blackwood is usually used in musical instruments and small turned objects. It is a hard dense wood that’s difficult to work with, especially when it’s a small piece. but it makes a really nice spoon. Unfortunately, I only had enough for one.
Measures 3-3/4 inches long and holds 1/2Tsp
