This large serving spoon is hand carved in Bastogne walnut. also referred to as paradox walnut. this wood is a cross between English walnut and Claro walnut. the result is a rare wood that grows quicker but stronger and denser than other species.

The piece of Bastogne walnut I used for this serving spoon was very high grade. straight grain and although it is hard to tell in the photos the pattern is curly throughout the entire spoon.

Measures 12-1/2 inches long and 3 inches across the bowl at its widest. Bowl holds ¼ cup.

Sterling silver signature inlay.
