I carved this one from a beautiful piece of paradox walnut. Simple but elegant is usually where I end up, design wise. Flowing lines, something rhythmic, organic luxury that can still have a function. It Is basically what brings me the most joy. this piece is no exception. you can display it… or you can serve food with it, or both.
Paradox walnut, also called Bastogne walnut is a cross between English and claro walnut. resulting in a tree that grows quickly but produces strong dense wood. which quick growing trees rarely do. that being the paradox.
Paradox walnut (Junglans x paradox). Sterling silver inlay.
Measures 13 inches long. I have a video of this spoon up on Instagram www.instagram.com/galaxywoodwork
