Mystery wood scoop

$155.00

I recently acquired Some amazing pieces of wood from another woodworker. most were labeled or were otherwise identifiable. Except the piece I used for this scoop, it is a hard dense wood with really nice curly figure throughout. curly Jarrah or red gum eucalyptus maybe? but I am not sure.

It makes a beautiful spoon either way. I left a live unfinished edge on the handle showing what the outer edge of the tree looked like. The scoop is also about 40% sapwood which is the darker non reddish areas on the scoop.

Measures 7 inches long holds 1-1/2 Tbsp

Signature inlay in sterling silver.
