This big fat spoon is carved from ringed Gidgee a dense Australian hardwood. I kept the overall design pretty simple on this one and gave it a nice deep inward curving bowl. this is one of the hardest woods in the world. heavy! and dense, but it makes an excellent spoon. with beautiful color and grain pattern, this one will make a nice heirloom ladle or server.
Ringed Gidgee (Acacia cambagei) holds ½ cup.
strrling silver signature inlay.
